As a teenager I recall times when family and friends would visit, and my Mom would say, "Take their coat Emery. Let them stay awhile. Get them something to drink." I would offer tea, juice, or water to make them feel at home.

​Those were early opportunities for social engagement. When visitors come to your site do they feel "welcome?" Do they discover new opportunities to stay awhile? Or do they see the same exact thing each time? Don't get me wrong. There's joy in familiarity, but there's sovereignty in discovery. If nothing changes, nothing engages.

Your website is a tool of engagement. It is an opportunity to make a new friend, visitor, member, or customer, as well as deepen the relationships you have held near and dear.

Adding a blog, formerly web-log, webinar, live show, stream, or any regularly scheduled content to your site affords an opportunity to engage your visitors intentionally. The very expectation of an daily, weekly, or monthly update calls and invites your visitors to visit or attend regularly.

Whether you've created a website or social media page, you created it to inform and engage. So let the innovation flow. Be Creative.

Grace and peace beloved Saints of God, How awesome is it to believe, even better, to know that God has a plan for your lives that's greater than you can currently see, that reaches further than your current reach, and that will testify of His greatness that will be manifested through you? Awesome indeed!

So what are you waiting for? 2 Peter 1:3 states that: "His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness" (2 Peter 1:3). Everything you need to live a life that honors God and fulfills His purpose for your life has been given you through Christ Jesus. Your job is to appropriate it.

It's like walking through a garden that you've been given access to. Every fruit in every tree is "yours for the picking." The key is that you must pick it. What is God calling you to do, where do you start, you might ask.

Three things to consider:
1. Start on your knees as you seek to hear the voice of God. Ask God for guidance, and then be still and listen.

2. Open the precious road map God gave to us, remember the timeless acronym for B.I.B.L.E. Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. Read it. Meditate on it. Know it. No matter what you're dealing with, trust me - its in The Book!

3. Finally, live by faith. Start the journey. You'll never get to where you need to be if you don't start the journey. Walk by faith, not according to your own vain imaginations, but according to the illuminating path that God has made for you through His Word. By doing so, you will accomplish things beyond what you could ever envision you could do for yourself.

When you hear me say time and again that "it's time to be creative," I mean it's time to walk by faith. It's time to reach up and reach out to appropriate every good and perfect gift that God has made available for you to succeed through our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ.

What I love about this precious experience, is that you can't lay hold of the gifts until you surrender and allow the giver to lay hold of you. Then, you'll really have no more excuses. If you've already taken this step, well you know what I'm going to say - Get to steppin'! It's time to be creative!

The Apostle Paul is inspired to communicate a Kingdom principle that is under utilized by the citizens of the Kingdom of God. He states in 1Cor. 3:6 that one man plants, another waters, but God gives the increase. Now we can exegete this text and make life applications to the text that are innumerable. But as we have been reflecting on utilizing our gifts and putting them into action to yield produce of praise to God and nourishment for others and ourselves, let's take a look at the principle of seed and harvest and by faith, put it to use.

God's Kingdom principle of seed and harvest is that that which is planted will produce greater than what is planted, later than it was planted. For example if you plant an apple seed, and water the apple seed - nourish it in the ground, God will bless it (in His season) to yield a tree full of apples! You started with a seed, but by your due diligence, and obedience to God's Kingdom standards for life, you have greater than you planted, later than you planted it.

Now it doesn't stop there, because the harvest of fruit can have many uses! In our example it is great as a tasty nourishing fresh apple. However it has several applications! The apples can be used to produce apple juice, apple jam, apple pie, apple fragrance, and so on, and so on. Each application can yield a harvest of income that can be planted yet again, and you haven't even got back to the potential of seeds inside each apple!

Recently I shared this principle with a friend of mine, as I am sharing it with you. In his case he had written a poem, but hadn't quite seen its potential to produce a harvest. As citizens of the Kingdom of God, every seed-gift that God provides must be viewed through the lense of Kingdom privileges. Which means that as we study the Word of God and are given principles of the Kingdom we will exercise the privilege of applying those principles to our lives - for God's glory and the good of others. That's another Kingdom principle by the way. Everything we do should glorify God (always) and edify others and ourselves (sometimes).

The poem that my friend wrote was testimony of praise unto the Lord. Recited as such gives praise to God and certainly encourages anyone who is listening, but it has several uses. It can be broadcasted as a poem, a song, a T-shirt, a plaque, a coffee mug, and more. As your reflect on this information today, take inventory of your gifts. One by one map out their applications, and then seek the Lord as you create a strategy and a plan to bring them from thought to fruition. As you reap the harvest God has in store for you, I'm sure you'll find it may be one harvest, but many uses. Next time we will take a look at technology that is literally "at your finger tips" to produce media you may not have realized you can produce. To God be the glory.
