HOW TO INCREASE YOUR FAITH
My mother used to make my favorite cake. It was Pecola's Pineapple Coconut cake. It was unique in that she had a recipe all her own. Others had made a pineapple coconut cake, but it never tasted as good as Mom's. Unless Mom's recipe was carefully followed one might make a good cake, but it could never measure up! One time Mom directed me how to make her cake step-by-step. I proceeded with a great expectation that my cake would taste like hers, because I followed her leading to the letter. From the ingredients, to how long I should allow the butter to sit before using it make the batter, to the temperature I should use to bake the cake, as well as the icing, my mouth began to water with expectation that I would make and taste Mom's Pineapple Coconut cake by my own hands! Faith operates in a similar manner, but in order to maximize its use we must seek to understand what it is and how it works.
What it is:
Faith is a resource of the Kingdom of God. It is a tool that allows it's possessor to access the very promises of God! The writer of the book of Hebrews was inspired to write in the 11th chapter that "Faith is the substance of things hoped for. The evidence of things not seen."
So faith is the resource that makes that which we hope for or earnest expect to become substantial.
How it works:
As a Kingdom resource, Faith is produced in response to what God speaks forth and allows us to see in line with God's will and purposes for our lives. In the example I shared, many people were able to taste my mother's cake and even envision in their minds the ingredients that could be used to make a cake similar to hers, but the envisioned cake could never be actualized or made substantial until she provided the ingredients and instructions necessary to produce the same results.
So much more our faith is activated by the Source who has allowed us to catch a glimpse of what has been revealed to us. That activation, if you will, allows us to lean forward with expectation that we can have what the King said, and move toward creating, developing, or simply laying hold of what God has for us, as we are empowered by the King of Kings to do so.

Romans 10:17 We get faith, or activate the Kingdom resource of faith, by hearing and listening to, by seeking out the Word of God to fuel our belief - our faith for what God is communicating that God has for us. It may be to fulfill a call to ministry, or faith to be the Husband, Wife, Mother, Father, or even Entrepreneur that God has called you to be. Whatever it is for, we receive it by getting in position to hear what we are to lay hold of straight from the Source - the Creator of All that Is.
Our hope is that More Words Of Faith, the points of inspiration that God has activated us to write, preach, and teach, will plug you into the Life Stream of the Word of God, and that the Word of God will plug you into the Life Source in the fullness of the God Head, and that your relationship to and with the Life Source will propel you into your Life Service to the glory of God and the good of others.
